Species (film)
''Species'' is a 1995 American Science fiction film, science fiction horror film directed by Roger Donaldson and written by Dennis Feldman. It stars Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Alfred Molina, Forest Whitaker, Marg Helgenberger, and Natasha Henstridge in her film debut role. The film's plot concerns a motley crew of scientists and government agents who try to track down Sil (Henstridge), a seductive extraterrestrial life, extraterrestrial-human hybrid, before she successfully mates with a human male. The film was conceived by Feldman in 1987, and was originally pitched as a film treatment in the style of a police procedural, entitled ''The Message''. When ''The Message'' failed to attract the studios, Feldman re-wrote it as a spec script, which ultimately led to the making of the film. Sisaala (''Sissala'') is a Gur language cluster spoken in northern Ghana near the town of TumuEdited by M.E.Kropp Dakubu, ''The Languages of Ghana'', Kegan Paul International, 1988. and in the neighbouring republic of Burkina Faso. Western Sisaala is intermediate between Sisaali and Tumulung Sisaala. Paasaal is similar and also called (Southern) Sisaala. Distribution Sisaala is spoken by the Sissala. The Sisaala in Ghana live in the Northern Region, in the Upper East Region and in the Upper West Region. Burkina Faso’s Sissili Province is named after the Sissala people. South Island Line
The South Island line () is a rapid transit line of Hong Kong's MTR metro system. This line connects the Hong Kong business district from Admiralty station to the Southern District of Hong Kong Island and the island of Ap Lei Chau, which was not served by any rail transport prior to the opening of the line. Approved by the Executive Council in 2007, the line commenced service on 28 December 2016. It is indicated in on the MTR map. The rolling stock of the South Island line is purpose-built for driverless operation, with trains being remotely controlled from the Operations Control Centre in Tsing Yi. It is one of two lines to have 5 stations, the other one being Airport Express (MTR). It is the line to have the least interchanges until West South Island Line is approved to be made. Sil (village)
Soledar (, ; , ; ) is a destroyed city in Bakhmut Raion, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. Situated in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, the city was formerly highly important for its salt mining industry, from which its name Soledar is derived. The last estimate of its population before its destruction was 10,490, in 2022. From 1925 until 1991, it was known as Karlo-Libknekhtovsk after the German socialist Karl Liebknecht. During the Battle of Soledar of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Soledar was completely destroyed and depopulated by Russian forces, who have occupied the ruins of the city and the surrounding area since January 2023.
